Ministry of Sound fue fundado por Jamie Palumbo, Humphrey Waterhouse y el DJ Justin Berkmann. Todavía es mayoritariamente controlado por Jamie Palumbo, hijo del Lord Peter Palumbo. Desde su apertura, el MoS, como marca, se ha extendido a una gran cantidad de áreas.
